I 'think' Lightning is standing on a WWII Bofors Anti Aircraft Gun, although I'm not sure about that.
Those clouds are real, just some tweaking to add drama to the sky of course! Love this pose and expression.

Recently I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot of two of the members of the cosplay group, Genjitsu Touhi.

It's my opinion that this newly emerged group will be a welcomed and appreciated addition to the competitive cosplay scene here in Australia. The members are very dedicated, very humble and share a common love of the interest. They debuted formally at the recent Supanova in Sydney in their Final Fantasy XIII costumes and and since perfected (and are continuing to perfect) their individual costumes.
This group had their photo ideas well planned and executing them on my part was a dream. They were a pleasure to photograph and look forward to doing another shoot with them soon. They will be attending future cons but their cosplay is secret at the moment, I can reveal though that they are working on MANY things. Look forward to seeing more of them!

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis has pretty much everything, the stance is exactly that of the game and to get that into such a beautiful surrounding is fantastic!! The thing Lightning is standing on looks a lot like the Juggernauts in the game so it stays faithful and looks fantastic. I've got to hand it to you, this is brilliant!!
The costume especially is made brilliantly and the model in it suits lightning very well. I love everythin about this, aside from one minor detail. The sky doesn't look too realistic and it kind of distracts people from the other advantages this piece has and to be fair its got lots of them. Really good job!!
